YOUR DATA IN SAFE HANDS

In this statement, we briefly and clearly explain the personal data we collect and how we process the said data. By ‘personal data’ we mean personal information that tells us something about you or that we can link to you. ‘Processing’ includes everything that we can do with that data, such as storing, modifying, using, disclosing or removing the data.

HOW WE DEAL WITH PRIVACY

The privacy of our clients and visitors to our website is of paramount importance to us. We handle personal data as confidentially and discretely as possible. In accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, of course.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE CAN PROCESS?

The following is an overview of personal data that we may process, depending on the purpose for which you provided the data:

  • your first and last name, gender, date of birth, telephone number, address, e-mail address and/or your job title/position;
  • your other personal data, which you share with us via online media, in correspondence or by telephone.

WHAT WE DO WITH PERSONAL DATA?

We use personal data solely for the purpose for which you provided it and insofar strictly necessary, namely:

  • the performance of our agreement;
  • the compliance with our statutory obligations, such as our obligation to keep records and the rules of the Dutch Bar Association;
  • the provision of useful information about our services and answers to your questions.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN DATA

We retain personal data for as long as is necessary for the purpose(s) for which it is processed. The retention period is seven years if there is an administrative obligation; if not, other retention periods apply, as indicated in our general terms and conditions.

DATA SHARING WITH THIRD PARTIES

One thing we absolutely don’t do is sell your data. We only share your data with other parties if required to do so by law or in order to perform an agreement with you. We enter into a processing agreement with the company that processes the data at our instruction. This assures you and us that the same level of security is provided that we provide. We will remain the data controller.

YOUR RIGHT

You have the right to access, correct, and supplement your own personal data, to have it deleted (as far as possible) from our records, or to have the processing thereof limited. To do so, send a request with a copy of your identity document to info@bombari.com. We recommend that you black out your photo and your citizen service number (BSN) on the copy that you send to us, to protect your privacy. We will respond to the request as soon as possible, but in any event within four weeks.

SECURITY

We take the protection of your data very seriously and use security techniques and measures to prevent corruption or loss of information, such as:

  • we transmit your data via a secure internet connection. You can see this in the address bar ‘https’ and the corresponding padlock in the address bar;
  • security software, such as a virus scanner and a firewall;
  • comprehensive procedures to prevent unauthorised to data.
